The Ministry of Health and Social Protection has secured an emergency air transfer to save a premature newborn from Errachidia to Rabat.
On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, a medical evacuation plane was deployed to transport the infant from the Moulay Ali Chrif Regional Hospital in Errachidia to the University Hospital Center in Rabat.
This urgent intervention followed the premature birth at 26 weeks due to health complications classified as a high-risk pregnancy, necessitating immediate transfer for specialized medical care in a neonatal intensive care unit. The air medical transport was carried out safely and smoothly, thanks to meticulous coordination between the medical and nursing teams at both hospitals, as well as the mobilization of specialists in aeromedical and emergency care.
This operation is part of the ongoing efforts by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection to strengthen the emergency care system across various regions of the kingdom and to improve air ambulance services, ensuring access to specialized treatments.
