The Moroccan Ombudsman Foundation Launches the ‘Public Governance Forums’ Program to Support Improvements in Public Health Services

The Moroccan Ombudsman Foundation has announced the launch of its new program titled “Public Governance Forums,” which this year focuses on the issue of public health services in its inaugural edition. This initiative aims to enhance transparency and effective management within public institutions, particularly in the health sector, as part of the foundation’s constitutional roles that advocate for citizens’ rights in their interactions with the administration.

In its statement, the Ombudsman Foundation noted that this program falls within the scope of its responsibilities to improve the quality of public services by strengthening the principles of administrative governance. Through this program, the foundation aims to organize open national and regional forums where issues of public governance and citizens’ rights will be discussed, alongside exchanging opinions and suggestions to enhance the efficiency of public institutions, including the health sector.

This program reflects a participatory methodology based on continuous dialogue with various actors in society, such as youth, civil organizations, and experts. Additionally, national and regional listening sessions and workshops will be organized to explore ways to improve administrative performance in the health sector, as well as establishing electronic channels to receive suggestions and experiences from citizens and civil society regarding governance in this area.

Through this program, the Ombudsman Foundation hopes that youth and civil society can actively contribute to strengthening participatory democracy, with this interaction serving as a step toward improving health services and enhancing the relationship between citizens and public institutions.
