The government reaffirms its readiness to engage in dialogue with “Generation Z” and states: We have received the message and are working to expedite reforms.

After a week of acknowledging the demands of the “Generation Z” youth movement and expressing its openness to dialogue, the government has reiterated its call for serious and responsible engagement with this societal dynamic.

Mustafa Baaitas, the government spokesperson and minister responsible for relations with Parliament, stated during a press conference following the Council of Government meeting on Thursday that “the government has been transparent and clear from the beginning in its dealings with this issue, and it has clearly received the message expressed by the youth.”

Baaitas explained that “the government has listened to the demands of these young people and has taken them seriously, but dialogue, as is known, requires two parties.” He added that “the government is ready for dialogue whenever the conditions are right and the possibilities are available.”

The minister indicated that efforts are ongoing to accelerate reforms in several vital sectors, stating: “We are working to speed up various ongoing projects, especially in health, education, and employment, and we are mobilizing the necessary resources to address existing gaps.”

Baaitas concluded by emphasizing the government’s hope for the other party’s participation in the upcoming phase, “so we can discuss the issues at hand jointly, as addressing these matters requires the collective efforts of all stakeholders.”
