On Thursday morning, the town of Kenitra welcomed Mr. Olivier Ramador, the Consul General of France in Rabat and Kenitra, for an official friendly visit. The meeting was attended by the President of the Municipal Council, Mrs. Amina Harouza, along with several council members and staff.
Accompanying the consul during the visit was the newly appointed Director of the French Institute in Kenitra, who expressed her desire to expand cultural cooperation between the institute and the town, organizing joint activities that contribute to enhancing the cultural profile of the city.
During the meeting, the consul emphasized France’s support for development projects in Kenitra through funding programs designated for decentralized cooperation and expatriates. He noted the opportunity to benefit from the Moroccan-French Sustainable Development Assistance Fund, which covers various fields related to the environment, culture, and urban planning.
Ramador invited local officials to engage in partnerships and sister-city relationships with French cities to enhance the exchange of expertise and open avenues for French investment in the town.
This visit, the consul’s second in three months, is part of efforts to strengthen Moroccan-French relations at the local level and develop cooperation between local communities to serve the residents and promote sustainable development projects in Kenitra.
