Rabat Hosts Roundtable on Reviewing the Law on Access to Information

The Taza Province Competency Forum, the Tomorrow Forum for Citizenship, and the Legal Papers Magazine are organizing a roundtable in Rabat titled “What Approaches for Reviewing Law 31.13 on the Right to Access Information.” The event will take place on Thursday, October 16, 2025, starting at 4 PM at the forum’s headquarters in Hassan neighborhood.

The meeting aims to initiate a broad national discussion involving institutional and civil actors, journalists, and researchers to assess the implementation of Law 31.13 since its enactment and explore ways to enhance it in line with international standards and the provisions of the Moroccan constitution.

Participants in the discussion will include representatives from the National Commission for Access to Information, as well as legal experts and stakeholders in the fields of transparency and governance, along with journalists from various institutions.

This roundtable is part of a renewed national discourse on the right to information as a cornerstone of good governance, aimed at enhancing transparency, linking responsibility with accountability, and strengthening trust between citizens and institutions.
