Morocco Enhances Its Presence in the Global Food Arena in Abu Dhabi
Morocco is participating for the fourth consecutive year in the International Food Exhibition in Abu Dhabi (ADIFE), organized from October 21 to 23 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).
This participation, which is held under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests, and organized by the Agricultural Development Agency (ADA), is part of the “Green Generation 2020-2030” strategy aimed at promoting and marketing Moroccan local products.
According to a statement from the Agricultural Development Agency, this participation underscores the Kingdom’s commitment to enhancing its international profile in a sector with promising potential, in line with the increasing demand for authentic products with high nutritional value. All regions of the Kingdom are represented at this event through 25 production clusters comprising over 600 small farmers, 52% of whom are rural women, reflecting the social and inclusive nature of this dynamic.
The exhibition serves as a prominent platform to showcase Moroccan expertise, with over one hundred exemplary products on display that reflect the richness and diversity of the national culinary heritage. Exhibitors, under the agency’s guidance, are participating in a series of professional meetings aimed at exploring new export opportunities, particularly towards Middle Eastern markets.
The Moroccan pavilion features a design that combines modernity with inspiration from Moroccan traditions, along with cooking demonstrations overseen by a renowned Moroccan chef. This experience is complemented by musical segments highlighting Moroccan hospitality and the richness of its cultural heritage.
ADIFE is one of the world’s leading events in the food industry, attracting over 35,000 professional visitors and 1,900 exhibitors from nearly 60 countries, making it an ideal space for exchange and forming business partnerships.
The promotion of local products holds a central place in the national agricultural strategy, as the Agricultural Development Agency supports over 560 cooperatives marketing around 1,900 products under the collective brand “Local Products from Morocco,” while also seeking new distribution channels, including digital platforms.
