Meknes Launches the “Ismailia Business Center” Project to Enhance Innovation and Support Young Entrepreneurs

Meknes is witnessing a new dynamic in economic development with the launch of a structured project named the “Ismailia Business Center,” which has a budget of 15 million dirhams aimed at supporting economic actors and young project holders in the region.

This project was approved during the regular session of October for the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services of the Fes-Meknes region, as part of a joint vision among various local institutions to make Meknes a hub for innovation and services directed at businesses.

The project will be funded through a partnership involving the Regional Council (7 million dirhams), the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services (6 million dirhams), and the Meknes Regional Council (2 million dirhams).

A Modern Center for Innovation and Training

The new center will feature multifunctional spaces including a programming and coding school, a co-working space, a startup incubator, a “FabLab” for digital manufacturing, a conference hall, and an office equipped with the latest tools.

The project’s objective is to create an environment that fosters creativity, training, and technological development, contributing to the emergence of a new generation of entrepreneurs in the digital field.

This project aligns with ongoing regional efforts to promote innovation, especially after the approval last February for the establishment of the “YouCode Fes” center, which received an additional support of 30 million dirhams to ensure its operational continuity and expansion, being recognized as a successful model in digital training.

A Commitment to Youth and the Digital Economy

The YouCode Fes center is expected to be integrated into the “Fes Business Center” project, occupying four floors with an area of 700 square meters per floor, at a total cost of 25 million dirhams, funded by the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform (15 million dirhams), the Regional Council (8 million dirhams), and the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services (2 million dirhams).

Through these initiatives, the Fes-Meknes region aims to enhance the competitiveness of its economic fabric and create new opportunities for youth in the fields of digitization and innovation, further solidifying its position as a key player in Morocco’s economic transformation.
