Arrest of a 52-Year-Old in Agadir Involved in Organizing Irregular Immigration for 45 Individuals
On the evening of Monday, October 13, elements of the Provincial Judicial Police in Agadir, in coordination with the General Directorate for National Security, arrested a 52-year-old man suspected of being part of a network specialized in organizing irregular immigration via maritime routes.
Field investigations revealed that the suspect was preparing to facilitate the migration of 45 candidates in exchange for fees amounting to around 40,000 dirhams each.
During the operation, security services managed to apprehend all the candidates in the city of Inzegane, including three minors. They also seized amounts of cash in both local and foreign currencies from the main suspect.
The organizer and the adult candidates have been placed under police custody, while the minors are subject to monitoring as per the directives of the competent public prosecutor, who ordered the opening of a judicial investigation to determine all the potential links and extensions of this criminal network.
