Belgian club Genk has announced that Moroccan international Zakaria Wahli will undergo surgery next Sunday after sustaining a shoulder injury during a match against Ferencváros in the Europa League. He fell heavily on his shoulder following a rough challenge by an opposing player, resulting in a tear in one of the shoulder ligaments.
After detailed examinations conducted on Friday morning, the team’s medical staff confirmed that surgery is necessary to properly stabilize the joint and ensure the player fully regains his physical readiness.
