The port of Agadir received 70 new buses for urban transport on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 11:30 AM. This delivery is part of the National Urban and Semi-Urban Transport Program 2025-2029, with a total value reaching 11 billion dirhams.

This initiative is part of a vision to renew the urban transport fleet of Greater Agadir, which has been included in the first phase of the program alongside five other Moroccan cities. The operation will involve the acquisition of 247 buses to modernize services and enhance sustainable mobility.

The project complements the Urban Development Program for Agadir 2020-2024, which saw the launch of a high-quality transport project (BHNS) with 30 new buses, contributing to the improvement of transport infrastructure and easing the movement of citizens.

According to official data, deliveries will continue, with an additional 58 buses expected to arrive at Agadir’s port in early November, and 41 buses through the port of Casablanca next week. The final batch of 78 buses is currently being procured and is expected to arrive by mid-2026.

This project represents a strategic step affirming Agadir’s position as a leading city in modernizing public transport and adopting contemporary solutions for sustainable mobility, aligned with the advanced regionalization vision and supporting the dynamics of the Souss-Massa region.
