A multidisciplinary medical caravan has arrived in the Tata region to provide healthcare services. This initiative, organized in collaboration with the regional delegation of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection and civil society associations, aims to improve access to healthcare in remote areas.

Hundreds of citizens from various localities benefited from the caravan’s services, which included medical examinations across several specialties such as general medicine, ophthalmology, pediatrics, and obstetrics and gynecology. Free medications were distributed to recipients.

The medical specialties covered by the caravan were diverse, benefiting 331 individuals in gastrointestinal medicine, 250 in endocrinology and diabetes, 216 children in pediatrics, 186 in dermatology, 358 women in obstetrics and gynecology, 490 in general medicine, 155 in laboratory analyses, and 370 in ophthalmology. A total of 74 eye surgeries were performed, with 71 individuals receiving psychiatric care and 106 in otolaryngology, alongside 126 in cardiology.

This initiative aims to bring healthcare services closer to rural populations and isolated areas, contributing to the improvement of health indicators in the region.
