Tangier Welcomes the Ship “Shabab Oman II” at a High-Level Official Ceremony
This morning, the port of Tangier received the Royal Omani Navy ship “Shabab Oman II” during a distinguished official ceremony attended by the Wali of the Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, the head of the regional council, along with several ambassadors and prominent figures.
This stop is part of the international journey “Majid Al-Bahr 2025,” organized by the Sultanate of Oman to strengthen bonds of friendship and cultural exchange with friendly nations, promoting messages of peace and understanding among peoples through international maritime excursions.
The ceremony featured welcoming speeches that praised the depth of Moroccan-Omani relations, followed by artistic performances reflecting the rich maritime heritage of Oman. Official delegations and invited guests were given the opportunity to tour the ship to learn about its facilities, equipment, and international programs.
The Tangier stop is one of the most notable legs of this maritime journey that sails to various global ports, reinforcing the Sultanate of Oman’s position as a civilizational bridge connecting the East and West.
