Royal Air Maroc Launches Direct Flight Between Casablanca and N’Djamena to Enhance Its Presence in Africa

Royal Air Maroc inaugurated its first direct flight connecting Casablanca to N’Djamena, the capital of Chad, on Wednesday night, September 17, 2025. This initiative marks a significant step in the national carrier’s expansion across the African continent and solidifies its position as a leading airline in the region.

The inaugural flight departed from Mohammed V International Airport at 11:40 PM and arrived at N’Djamena International Airport at 5:05 AM the following day. This route will operate with two flights per week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, bringing the total number of direct routes Royal Air Maroc operates within Africa to 29.

Mr. Hamid Aadi, the company’s CEO, stated that this new route reflects the national carrier’s commitment to engaging with the African continent, in line with royal directives aimed at bolstering South-South cooperation. He added that this initiative is part of the company’s development plan, which seeks to establish Casablanca as a global hub connecting Africa to other continents.

The new flight addresses the needs of customers residing in Chad, especially those wishing to connect to flights to Europe and the Americas. It also strengthens the connectivity between East and Central Africa as part of an expansion policy aimed at enhancing economic and human exchanges between African countries.

Additionally, Royal Air Maroc continues to modernize its fleet with the introduction of contemporary and comfortable aircraft, ensuring high standards of safety and quality for passengers. This aligns with the aspirations of its clientele and contributes to enhancing Morocco’s appeal as a key air traffic hub to various destinations worldwide.
