Moroccan Tourism Sees Double-Digit Growth with Increased Overnight Stays and Revenue

Tourism establishments in Morocco recorded over 17.13 million overnight stays by the end of July 2025, achieving a growth rate of 12% compared to the same period in 2024, according to data released by the Tourism Observatory.

This performance is divided between national tourism, which increased by 6%, and international tourism, which saw a rise of 14%.

Several tourist destinations reported positive results, notably Tangier (+21%), Casablanca (+18%), Fez (+15%), Essaouira (+11%), Agadir (+9%), Al Haouz (+6%), and Marrakech (+5%).

In terms of revenue, tourism income from foreign currencies exceeded 67.14 billion Moroccan dirhams during the first seven months of 2025, marking a 13% increase compared to the same period last year.

The number of visitors crossing the border reached 11,581,413, representing a 16% increase from 2024, reflecting the ongoing momentum in Morocco’s tourism sector.
