In an exclusive interview with colleague Ayoub Rafiq through the Sport Depth website, player Mohamed Mefid stated that the fans of Wydad Athletic Club are unique, saying:
“The Wydad fans are not ordinary; they possess a passion and enthusiasm that knows no bounds, and in Casablanca, it’s a bit of a rising tide,” referring to the fighting spirit and significant support that the team’s supporters provide from the stands of their stadium and from various cities.
Mefid affirmed that this fanbase represents an additional strength for the club, adding a motivational boost for the players in every match, whether on a local or continental level, indicating that Wydad without its fans would not be the same as it is now.
