Imad Ghamad Appointed New General Manager of Cosumar Group
Cosumar Group announced an important leadership change, appointing Imad Ghamad as the new General Manager, succeeding Hassan Mounir, who is leaving his position for health reasons and due to advancing age.
After a career spanning over four decades at Cosumar, Hassan Mounir officially steps down. The board of directors, chaired by Hicham Belmahra, acknowledged his contributions and invited him to continue as an advisor to ensure a smooth transition.
Imad Ghamad, who joined the group in 2006, has gained extensive experience in strategic roles, becoming a member of the management committee in 2010, and was appointed Deputy General Manager in December 2023. Throughout his career, he has overseen essential transformation projects within the company.
With this appointment, Cosumar aims for continuity and relies on the expertise of its internal talent to face upcoming challenges, particularly in the local and international sugar markets. The new General Manager faces the daunting task of enhancing the group’s competitiveness and maintaining its historical presence in the Moroccan sugar economy.
