Bourita on Official Visit to China to Enhance Economic and Strategic Cooperation

Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita is on an official visit to China on September 19 and 20, 2025, at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi, amid a strengthening of bilateral relations, particularly in the economic sphere.

Rapidly Growing Trade

Trade exchanges between Morocco and China reached 60 billion dirhams from January to July 2025, marking a 19% increase compared to the previous year. China has also become the third largest foreign investor in Morocco, with net foreign direct investment from China exceeding 2 billion dollars in 2024.

Expanding Strategic Partnership

The aim of this visit is to deepen cooperation between the two countries in various fields, especially trade, investments, and infrastructure, reflecting Morocco’s commitment to enhancing its strategic partnerships on an international level.
