Beni Ansar: Large Quantity of Hashish Smuggling Foiled by Spanish Security Officer
Moroccan security and customs authorities apprehended a member of the Spanish National Guard Saturday afternoon at the Beni Ansar crossing in Nador, caught in the act of attempting to smuggle approximately thirty kilograms of hashish in a privately registered vehicle from Spain.
According to media reports, the drugs were carefully concealed within the vehicle driven by the suspect, who was vacationing in Morocco before planning to leave the country towards Melilla via the border crossing.
The public prosecutor in Nador has ordered the detained individual to undergo judicial investigation under the supervision of the judicial police to verify the charges against him and uncover all potential links and connections related to this case, which falls within the framework of efforts to combat international drug trafficking networks.
