Rachid Talbi Alami Receives Delegation of Former Irish Parliamentarians to Enhance Parliamentary Cooperation

The President of the House of Representatives, Rachid Talbi Alami, welcomed a delegation from the Association of Former Irish Parliamentarians, led by Mary Flaherty, at the council’s headquarters in Rabat. This visit, which spans from September 22 to 29, is part of a work program aimed at learning about the major projects underway in the Kingdom of Morocco under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him.

The Irish delegation includes, along with its leader, Pat Breen, a former Minister of Trade and Economic Affairs and former Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee; James Bannon, a former Member of the Senate; Tomas Hayes, a former Minister of State for Agriculture; Martin Mansergh, a former Senator, former Minister of State for Arts, Sports, and Tourism, and former advisor to the Prime Minister; Brendan Howlin, a former Minister for Public Expenditure; and Timothy Conway, a former Member of the Senate.

The meeting focused on enhancing frameworks for parliamentary cooperation between Morocco and Ireland and exchanging experiences regarding various reforms and developmental initiatives led by the Kingdom.
