Moroccan Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch called for the urgent delivery of humanitarian aid and the immediate reconstruction of Gaza during his speech at the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday. He emphasized that the Kingdom of Morocco insists on providing humanitarian assistance to Gaza unconditionally, aligning with Morocco’s steadfast position in support of the Palestinian people.

Akhannouch stated that Morocco demands the implementation of the Gaza reconstruction plan approved by the Arab Islamic Summit, viewing it as a fundamental step to restore hope and stability for the residents of the strip. He also underscored the international community’s responsibility to prevent the region from slipping into further tension and danger.

Additionally, the Prime Minister reiterated Morocco’s unwavering commitment to defending the sacred sites in Jerusalem, particularly the Al-Aqsa Mosque, highlighting the special attention King Mohammed VI gives to this issue in his capacity as the Chair of the Al-Quds Committee.
