A tragic incident occurred in El Jadida today, Monday, where a young man lost his life in a severe traffic accident on Mohammed V Street. The driver of a passenger bus lost control of the vehicle, leading to the victim being struck near the sidewalk and a part of the bus station wall being damaged.
According to eyewitnesses interviewed by Hespress, the bus did not stop after the accident; it continued moving erratically, colliding with two cars that were parked on the side of the road, as well as a small taxi. This sudden development caused panic among pedestrians and road users, especially since the incident took place in a busy area during the morning period.
Immediately alerted to the incident, police and civil protection services arrived at the scene, where they secured the area and transferred the young man’s body to the morgue at the Mohammed V Regional Hospital in El Jadida.
Simultaneously, authorities initiated a field investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor to uncover the circumstances and details surrounding the incident, focusing on the possibility of a technical malfunction in the bus or human error that led to the driver’s loss of control.
