The Ministry of Justice shares its judicial and legal experience with the Republic of Gambia
On Monday, August 4, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Justice welcomed a high-level delegation from the Republic of Gambia at the ministry’s headquarters in Rabat. This visit aimed to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the judicial and legal fields.
The Gambian delegation included senior officials representing both the Higher Council of the Judiciary and the Gambian Ministry of Justice. The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on ways to develop partnerships in various areas related to modernizing judicial administration, digitizing judicial services, and the continuous training of personnel working in the justice sector.
Members of the Gambian delegation expressed their interest in the Moroccan experience, considering it as an advanced model at the African level, particularly in terms of digitization and judicial administration modernization. They also expressed their desire to benefit from Moroccan expertise and requested technical support from the Moroccan Ministry of Justice to aid their judicial reform efforts.
Welcoming this request, the Secretary-General affirmed the Ministry of Justice’s readiness to share the Moroccan experience and provide the necessary technical support, as part of strengthening African cooperation and solidarity among countries on the continent through training programs and the exchange of expertise and best practices.
This visit comes amid a growing momentum in African cooperation in the field of justice and reflects the increasing trust placed in the Kingdom of Morocco at both regional and international levels as a key player in the reform and modernization of the judicial system.
