The Moulay Abdellah Amghar Festival ignites the enthusiasm of 130,000 spectators with music and the image of Tbourida.
On Sunday, the Moulay Abdellah Amghar Festival showcased two remarkable artistic moments that captivated nearly 130,000 attendees participating in this grand event. During the first evening, artists Abdelmoula Hssar, Al-Makhloufi, and Houssa filled the atmosphere with engaging musical performances that resonated exceptionally well with the audience, elevating the excitement and spreading joy throughout the venue.
At the same time, a quieter artistic corner hosted a photography exhibition presented by artist and journalist Aziz Mahdi. Through his lens, Mahdi captured the spirit of Tbourida, highlighting its profound values that transcend mere gunfire to become a vivid tableau expressing pride, generosity, and bravery—values deeply ingrained in the memory of the Moroccan community.
The exhibition drew visitors, who paused before each photo, enjoying the details that document moments from the lives of the horsemen and the festival’s atmosphere, from the sounds of ululations to the melodies of the Ayta, and from the powder smoke to the traditional colors of jellabas and sashes. A special moment was the presence of the governor of El Jadida, Mohamed Al-Attafawi, who expressed his deep admiration for the works recounting the history of Tbourida through new dimensions.
Thus, the Moulay Abdellah Amghar Festival provided a comprehensive artistic experience in just one day, merging the vitality of music with the intimacy of photography, affirming that art remains the backbone of this event that reflects the authenticity of Moroccan heritage and its living spirit against the passage of time.
