Entrepreneurial Dynamics Strengthened in Dakhla: 1,733 New Businesses Established by May 2025

Data from the Moroccan Office of Industrial and Commercial Property confirms the ongoing entrepreneurial momentum in the Dakhla-Oued El Dahab region. By the end of May 2025, a total of 1,733 new businesses will have been established.

These enterprises comprise 513 corporate entities and 1,220 individual businesses, with the trade sector dominating, accounting for over 54% of the total new businesses. It is followed by a variety of services (10.5%), manufacturing (9.5%), accommodation and restaurant activities (6.5%), transport (6.2%), and agriculture and fisheries (6%). The construction, public works, and real estate sector made up 5.6%, while information technology and financial services recorded less than 1%.

On a national scale, the number of businesses established in the first five months of this year reached 48,862, led by the Casablanca-Settat region with 15,229 businesses, followed by the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region (6,231) and the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region (6,177).
