Jerusalem’s Bayt Mal Agency Distributes School Backpacks to Students in the Jerusalem Governorate
As the new school year approaches in Jerusalem, the Bayt Mal Agency for Al-Quds Al-Sharif launched a distribution campaign for school backpacks on Sunday in the village of Nabi Samuel, northwest of the city, in preparation for the 2025-2026 academic season. This initiative aims to support students and their families amid the challenges many face in providing their children with necessary supplies, offering essential educational tools to alleviate financial burdens and improve learning conditions.
The campaign targeted 2,300 students from schools in the Jerusalem Governorate, with a total budget of 125,000 USD, funded by Moroccan institutions. Direct distribution in Nabi Samuel benefited 150 children, who received their backpacks in a festive atmosphere filled with joy and solidarity.
Ismail Al-Ramli, the agency’s project coordinator in Jerusalem, explained that the operation aims to ease the burden on needy families and provide basic learning tools to aid students in their academic success. He added that the backpacks contain stationery, school supplies, and essential pedagogical resources to support the educational process.
For her part, Nawel Barakat, president of the Nabi Samuel Association, expressed her gratitude to King Mohammed VI and the Bayt Mal Agency for their ongoing support for the village’s residents, considering this initiative “a manifestation of solidarity with the people of Jerusalem during difficult times, providing both psychological and material support to students at the start of the school year.”
This campaign is part of the agency’s continuous efforts to support needy households in Jerusalem and improve educational conditions in marginalized villages and areas.
