Tangier: Two Arrested, Cocaine and Psychotropic Pills Seized in Housing Complex
The regional judicial police in Tangier arrested two individuals on Friday, one of whom has a criminal record, on suspicion of involvement in drug trafficking and psychotropic substances.
The suspects were apprehended within the “Diar Tangier” housing complex, where a search operation resulted in the seizure of 105 packages of cocaine, 522 pills of the psychotropic drug “Rivotril,” two canisters of nitrous oxide, and an electronic scale. Additionally, a vehicle, a motorcycle, and a sum of money suspected to be proceeds from this illicit activity were confiscated.
The detainees have been placed under police custody as investigations continue under the supervision of the relevant public prosecutor’s office, aiming to ascertain all circumstances and details of the case, and to apprehend any additional potential accomplices.
