Sevilla is racing against time to sign Moroccan international Amir Richardson before the summer transfer window closes, taking advantage of Richardson’s instability within Fiorentina’s setup.
The newspaper “Marca” reported that the Andalusian club is looking to capitalize on the revenue from the sale of their player Stanislav Idumbo to Monaco, along with salary cuts for some players. This allows sporting director Antonio Cordón an opportunity to sign several names this summer, including Richardson, to bolster the team’s midfield.
Italian media reports have confirmed that Sevilla is negotiating to purchase Richardson’s contract outright, a move that Fiorentina is resisting. Fiorentina is aiming to loan the Moroccan player while retaining the option to recall him at the beginning of the next season, affecting the negotiations between the two parties.
