Russia bombs a factory belonging to an American company in Ukraine, and Trump responds
Follow-up
Former U.S. President Donald Trump expressed his strong discontent on Friday regarding the recent Russian strikes in Ukraine, including the attack on a factory belonging to an American company, reiterating the possibility of imposing economic sanctions on Moscow.
Trump told reporters in Washington, in response to a question about the Russian strike on the American factory in Mukachevo, “I am not happy about that, and I am not happy about anything related to this war.”
He explained that he has two weeks to make a decision regarding the conflict, noting that the resolution will be crucial and could involve significant sanctions or tariffs, or potentially no action at all, essentially leaving it as Ukraine’s battle alone.
It is worth mentioning that Trump met with Russian President Vladimir Putin last week in Alaska, and then Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House on Monday, in an attempt to bring them to the same negotiating table, although the likelihood of this meeting occurring seems low.
Trump showcased a photo of himself with Putin taken during their meeting in Alaska, indicating that the Russian president sent it to him, and he stated, “I will sign it for him.”
