A A

The Council of Government, chaired by Aziz Akhannouch, will hold its weekly meeting next Thursday to discuss draft laws, decrees, and agreements, in addition to appointments for senior positions and examining various legislative proposals.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s office, the Council will commence its work by reviewing a draft law related to higher education and scientific research.

It will also address two draft decrees; one pertains to amending the decree regarding the establishment of a solidarity tax against catastrophic events for the benefit of the fund designated for that purpose, while the second sets the amounts of compensation for overtime hours specific to teaching staff.

Additionally, the Council will discuss the headquarters agreement signed between Morocco and the African Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (AFROSAI), linked to the establishment of its permanent headquarters in Rabat, along with a draft law approving the agreement.

The meeting will conclude with a discussion on proposals for appointments to senior positions, in accordance with Article 92 of the Constitution, after which the government will convene for a special meeting to discuss several legislative proposals.
