Francois Cole: Hamouchi is Morocco’s Safeguard and Algeria’s Campaigns Reveal Its Incompetence

French writer Francois Cole condemned the recent media campaign launched by Algerian outlets against Abdellatif Hamouchi, the Director General of National Security and the National Control Directorate in Morocco, describing it as “despicable” and filled with lies.

Cole emphasized that these attacks reflect Algerian jealousy towards Morocco’s security model and the kingdom’s diplomatic successes, especially in light of the increasing international recognition of the Sahara’s Moroccan identity.

The French writer highlighted Hamouchi’s global standing, pointing out his international recognition for his competence and efforts in combating terrorism and enhancing security cooperation among nations. She added that these campaigns will not tarnish his reputation nor the pivotal role of Moroccan security agencies in maintaining regional stability.

Cole’s statements come at a time of escalating tension between Algerian media close to the regime and Moroccan institutions, marked by repeated personal attacks lacking any foundation, aimed at undermining the kingdom’s security and diplomatic achievements.

It is noteworthy that Morocco continues to strengthen regional and international security cooperation mechanisms, reflecting the resilience of its institutions and their capability to counter malicious media campaigns.
