A Chinese company, Shandong Kuntai New Material Technology Co., Ltd., through its branch in Singapore, Kuntai Hongjing Ltd., has announced the establishment of a subsidiary in Morocco with an investment of 130 million dirhams to create a production unit for automotive components.

This project is part of a strategy aimed at serving the European market, benefiting from Morocco’s geographical proximity to Spain and France, along with free trade agreements with the European Union, which offer a comfortable customs and logistics margin and a reduction in transportation costs of about 60% compared to direct shipping from China.

The new industrial facility will focus on manufacturing automotive carpets, with the ambition to meet the needs of the European market and enhance the local Moroccan supply chain associated with the automotive industry. The factory is designed to serve as an integrated industrial platform, providing localized services in line with the requirements of the European market.
