Moroccan Minister of Equipment Nizar Baraka Launches the Taounate Ring Road Project with a Budget of 70 Million Dirhams

Minister of Equipment and Water Nizar Baraka conducted a field visit in the Taounate region on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, to inspect several projects related to road infrastructure and the water sector. He began his visit with a meeting at the provincial headquarters, attended by the provincial governor Saleh Dahi, the vice president of the Fes-Meknes Regional Council, the regional director of equipment and water, as well as the mayors of Taounate and Arguia.

The meeting culminated in the signing of a partnership agreement for the construction of the Taounate ring road, with a financial envelope of 70 million dirhams, contributed by the ministries of equipment and water, the Fes-Meknes Region, the provincial council of Taounate, and the local councils of Taounate and Arguia.

The project’s aim is to rehabilitate vital road axes in the region, facilitate traffic flow between various entrances and exits, reduce carbon emissions, enhance the economic and territorial attractiveness of the area, as well as develop the road network and improve its basic structure and facilities.
