Inauguration of a New Campus for Mohammed VI University of Health Sciences in Agadir to Enhance Medical and Nursing Training

The Mohammed VI University of Health Sciences enhances its medical education offerings with the opening of a new campus in Agadir, part of a project to establish a university hospital hub in the capital of Souss.

The campus will comprise the Mohammed VI College of Medicine, the Mohammed VI School of Health Engineering, and the Mohammed VI College of Nursing and Health Professionals. Classes are set to commence in September 2025, with a joint enrollment for the academic year 2025-2026 scheduled for July 13, coinciding with the university’s branches in Rabat, Casablanca, Laayoune, and Marrakech.

The project also includes the construction of the Mohammed VI International University Hospital in Agadir, which is expected to open in 2027. The facility will feature 324 beds and advanced medical equipment, enhancing healthcare and training infrastructure in the region.

Established in 2014, the Mohammed VI University of Health Sciences aims to ensure high-quality training for experts and professionals in the fields of health sciences, while promoting scientific research to meet community needs. The university currently has about 8,100 students, including over 350 international students, and offers programs in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, veterinary medicine, biomedical engineering, health sciences and technologies, public health, biological sciences and biotechnology, governance, entrepreneurship, and behavioral sciences.
