A Chinese company officially launches its tourist vehicles in the Moroccan market, betting on innovation and technology.

The Chinese company DONGFENG announced the official launch of its range of tourist vehicles in the Moroccan market on Thursday, July 17, in a move that reflects a strategic shift in its direction within the kingdom.

This announcement marks the culmination of the brand’s growing presence in Morocco through its light commercial vehicles, which has now expanded to include five new models in the tourist vehicle category, specifically designed to meet local market needs in terms of performance, comfort, technology, and competitive pricing.

The company introduced the SHINE and SHINE MAX vehicles, with the former fueled by a gasoline engine priced at 169,000 dirhams, while the latter is a hybrid model priced at 249,000 dirhams. Additionally, two hybrid SUVs, the MAGE and HUGE, were launched at prices of 249,000 and 289,000 dirhams, respectively. DONGFENG also unveiled the fully electric DONGFENG BOX, priced at 219,000 dirhams, offering an actual range of 344 kilometers and providing a semi-autonomous driving experience.

Abdel Haq Khadrani, the General Director of DONGFENG Morocco, explained that these models were developed based on the requirements of the Moroccan market, emphasizing that Morocco represents a strategic market for the group on the African continent. He announced important future projects, including the establishment of a regional import and export center for spare parts in 2025, and the launch of a technical training academy in 2026 to qualify local and African talents.

The launch event featured the participation of group officials and an exclusive presentation of the new models, in an interactive atmosphere that highlighted DONGFENG’s focus on innovation in the driving experience. This expansion comes at a time of increasing interest in hybrid and electric vehicles within the Moroccan market, alongside a regulatory framework that encourages sustainable mobility.

DONGFENG enjoys a widespread global presence in over 100 countries and recorded sales exceeding 3 million units in 2024, relying on advanced research and development centers in China and Sweden, along with a strategy focused on innovation, design, and technical credibility, enabling it to offer modern transportation solutions that suit various lifestyles of Moroccan drivers.
