The United Kingdom Commends His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s Efforts

Express TV: Mustafa Filali

The United Kingdom has praised the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI in strengthening Moroccan-British bilateral relations, promoting regional stability, and enhancing national development dynamics.

This stance was expressed in a joint statement, signed today, Sunday, in Rabat, following a meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Living Abroad, Nasser Bourita, and the British Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Commonwealth, and Development, David Lammy.

The joint statement affirmed that His Majesty King Mohammed VI and King Charles III continue to solidify Moroccan-British ties, adding that “their leadership has consistently enhanced stability and commitment at the highest level, which is essential for the realization of an ambitious strategic partnership looking toward the future.”

Regionally, the United Kingdom commended “the initiatives launched by His Majesty the King for peace, stability, and socio-economic development in Africa, particularly the Atlantic African countries process and the royal international initiative to facilitate access for Sahel countries to the Atlantic Ocean,” thus highlighting the King’s prudent choice to prioritize the continent’s development through pragmatic and solidarity-based cooperation.

Regarding the King’s steadfast commitment to the Palestinian cause, the United Kingdom lauded “the fundamental role played by His Majesty King Mohammed VI as the Chairman of the Jerusalem Committee.”

Furthermore, the joint statement noted that “the United Kingdom commends and supports the major reforms initiated by Morocco under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.”
