The Chief of Police in Tetouan, Mohamed Loulidi, has filed a complaint with the local court against Hicham Jardou, accusing him of fraud and extortion, and requesting an investigation into the matter while reserving his right to act as a civil claimant.
The complaint, submitted to the public prosecutor’s office, includes a range of allegations against Jardou, including public defamation, distributing false information with the intent to slander, as well as accusations and insults directed at public servants during and after the performance of their duties. It also alleges disrespect towards organized bodies, dissemination of false news with malicious intent, and reporting imaginary crimes while being aware of their non-existence.
It is expected that the public prosecution will open an investigation into these allegations, which fall under actions punishable by criminal law, especially when they affect the reputation of security institutions or individuals, or seek to mislead public opinion.
