The Ifrane International Festival returns for its seventh edition under the theme of water and development, taking place from July 23 to 26, 2025. This event aims to once again illuminate the city with a blend of arts, culture, and environmental awareness. The festival is organized by the Ifrane Forum for Culture and Development in partnership with the Ifrane province, the regional council, the local municipality, and the Fez-Meknes region council.

This year, the organizers have chosen to highlight the importance of water conservation in the face of climate change and recurring droughts. Activities will focus on linking art with sustainable development and addressing water issues as a key environmental and community priority.

The opening ceremony will take place at the “Taj” square, featuring a collective artistic show titled “Symphony of Ahidous,” with more than 300 artists from various regions of Morocco, showcasing the richness of the national cultural heritage and strengthening the presence of folk arts in public spaces.

Festival-goers can look forward to musical nights featuring prominent Moroccan and international artists, as well as cultural, environmental, and sports performances spread across multiple venues in the city. A dedicated area for children will offer entertainment and play through artistic carnivals.

On the environmental side, the program includes a study day on “Water Savings,” led by experts and professionals, alongside a small agricultural exhibition showcasing modern irrigation techniques and water-saving practices demonstrated by local farmers addressing drought effects.

The festival continues to support local products by organizing a national cooking competition, this year focusing on “Trout Dishes,” promoting the natural resources and local cuisine of the Ifrane region.

Berber culture will also be represented through an evening of poetry in Berber, featuring local poets whose works address the protection of natural resources, forest fire prevention, and respect for tourist spaces.

Over 90 percent of the participants hail from the Ifrane region, clearly indicating a commitment to supporting local talent and providing them with exhibition spaces and opportunities to engage with a broad audience. Activities will be hosted at two main stages in the “Taj” square and the debates hall.

For the seventh consecutive year, the festival solidifies its status as a significant annual event that combines entertainment, awareness, and development, receiving growing praise for its organizational success and the collaborative efforts of administrative and security authorities, as well as local stakeholders, to ensure the success of this multidimensional cultural event.
