A meeting at the Ministry of Interior to determine the criteria for selecting young individuals called to military service
In accordance with the directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, the Supreme Commander and Chief of Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, Moroccan authorities are preparing to integrate the upcoming cohort of recruits into military service starting September 1, 2025.
In this context, the Central Committee for Military Service Statistics held a meeting today at the Ministry of Interior, chaired by a judge who serves as the President of a Chamber in the Court of Cassation. The meeting was dedicated to establishing the criteria for selecting the young individuals involved in the service, both male and female, for the new cohort.
This meeting comes immediately after the conclusion of the registration period on Monday, June 23, during which various statistical data were reviewed and the organizational and procedural conditions related to the selection of recruits were discussed.
A statement from the Minister of Interior noted that based on the criteria established by the committee, lists of selected individuals will be prepared, taking into account the classifications and ranks specified by the relevant military authorities. These lists will be submitted to the concerned military bodies as soon as possible to initiate the call for recruits and activate the integration process on the scheduled date.
This initiative is part of the Kingdom’s commitment to reactivating military service as a platform for preparing and guiding youth, providing pathways for professional and social integration, and fostering a spirit of citizenship and discipline among recruits.
