After his impressive performance with Wydad in the Club World Cup, Mamelodi Sundowns has increased the asking price for Thiam Binkosi Lorch.
Wydad Athletic Club is now at risk of losing its South African player, Thiam Binkosi Lorch, as his loan period comes to an end on June 30. This situation arises after his parent club, Mamelodi Sundowns, decided to sell him permanently for a significantly higher fee.
According to reports from “Africa Foot,” Sundowns has raised its financial demands to one million euros in exchange for the player, which exceeds the initially agreed loan fee of around 500,000 euros.
This development follows Lorch’s standout performances with Wydad during the Club World Cup, prompting the South African club’s management to reassess the player’s value and maximize the buyout clause.
These changes present a new financial challenge for Wydad, particularly as the club seeks to retain key players in preparation for the upcoming season, in which they aim to strengthen their squad and compete across various local and continental fronts.
