This incident occurred just days before Wydad Casablanca’s final match in the group stage of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup against Al Ain from the UAE.
Wydad Casablanca expressed its deep gratitude to the local American authorities for their swift intervention and professional handling of the incident. The club also praised the immediate presence of representatives from FIFA, who closely monitored the situation.
