Young Sawalm and Hassania Agadir Face Third and Fourth Place in the Second Division Playoff Matches
The identities of the teams that will compete in the playoff matches to secure their place in the top tier of the “Inwi” professional league were determined last night, following the conclusion of the final round of the 2023-2024 sports season.
Young Sawalm finished the season in fourteenth place with 25 points, thereby securing two playoff matches against the third-placed team in the second national division, in their quest to remain among the elite clubs.
Hassania Agadir secured a spot in the playoffs since the penultimate round, finishing the season in thirteenth place with 29 points. They will face the fourth-placed team from the second division in the decisive encounter.
The first leg matches are scheduled for Saturday, May 24, at the home grounds of the second division clubs, while the return legs will take place on Friday, May 31, at the home stadiums of the first division teams. This is a crucial time to determine which teams will officially advance to the first division next season.
