Mohammed Amin Harmaallah, the regional coordinator of the National Rally of Independents in the Laâyoune-Sakiah El Hamra region, criticized Abdelilah Benkirane, the Secretary-General of the Justice and Development Party, accusing him of merely talking without delivering results. He claimed that Benkirane’s criticisms of the current government reflect his frustration with the pace of reforms undertaken in a short time.
Speaking this morning in Laâyoune during the launch of a national communication tour for the National Rally of Independents under the slogan “Path of Achievements,” Harmaallah stated that some “have done nothing but talk, which bothers them and leads them to attack the government,” clearly referring to Benkirane.
He added that the current government has initiated major projects within just four years, while the previous two governments failed to implement similar projects over two tenures spanning a decade.
Responding directly to the Secretary-General of the Justice and Development Party, Harmaallah remarked, “Lessons cannot be accepted from someone whose only concern is to stir trouble with countries that recognize Morocco’s sovereignty over the Sahara,” before adding sharply, “Take your prayer beads and go rest.”
These statements came in the context of the national tour launched by the National Rally of Independents, which encompasses 12 regions and over 70 municipalities, aimed at presenting the government’s achievements and engaging with citizens regarding ongoing projects.
