The Parliament has announced the launch of the fifth session of the Parliamentary Press Award for the year 2025.

This session is organized according to the resolutions of the Bureau of the House of Representatives and the Bureau of the House of Councillors, aimed at encouraging and honoring Moroccan media talents, in recognition of their individual or collective contributions to the development of parliamentary work, enhancing political participation, and reinforcing the rule of law.

The award encompasses six categories: a lifetime achievement award for a journalist following parliamentary affairs, the written press award (print), the electronic written press award, the visual media award, the audio media award, and the photography award.

According to the organizers, national media institutions (television, radio, agencies, print newspapers, and websites) can participate in all the aforementioned categories.

Candidates must meet the following requirements: they must be of Moroccan nationality; hold a press card for the current year 2025; submit their application either individually or as part of a team; not have won the award in the previous edition; and media institutions may nominate an individual or a team of their employees. The nominated works must be submitted in their original format, as published or broadcasted in national media, and must have been published between January 1, 2024, and May 31, 2025.

For electronic media, it is necessary to maintain the nominated works on the news site that published them until the official announcement of the award winners.

The nominated works should be submitted in six copies to the registry office of either the House of Representatives or the House of Councillors – Mohammed V Street, Rabat – or sent via the following email: [email protected], from May 1, 2025, to May 31, 2025.

The application form can be downloaded, and the award’s regulations can be viewed on the Parliament’s website: www.parlement.ma or on one of the councils’ websites: House of Representatives: www.chambredesrepresentants.ma or House of Councillors: www.chambredesconseillers.ma.

For more information and clarifications, you can contact the secretariat of the award’s organizing committee at the following numbers: 05.37.67.96.90 – 05.37.67.96.50, or via the aforementioned email.
