Russia Prefers a Diplomatic Solution to the War

The Kremlin confirmed on Monday that it prefers a diplomatic solution to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, ahead of an important phone call anticipated at 2 PM GMT between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump.

Russian news agencies reported spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stating, “It is certainly better to achieve our goals through political and diplomatic means,” adding that the phone conversation between Putin and Trump is “a significant discussion considering the talks that took place in Istanbul.”
