More than 90,000 candidates are taking the baccalaureate exams in the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region.
The Regional Academy for Education and Training in Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima has announced that the number of candidates for the baccalaureate exams for the 2025 session, in both regional and national phases, is approximately 90,900 candidates.
The exams kicked off with the regional unified exam held on May 26 and 27, featuring 53,328 candidates from both school and non-school backgrounds, across 189 centers out of 224 distributed among the eight directorates in the region. The number of candidates scheduled to take the national unified exam, set to take place from May 29 to 31, is around 47,470, of which 37,585 belong to the school category, representing 72% from public education and 7.15% from private education.
Females constitute 54.88% of the total candidates for the national exam, while non-school candidates represent 20.82%, amounting to 9,885 individuals. The number of candidates in the scientific and technical streams is 30,277, compared to 16,766 in the literary and artistic tracks, and 365 candidates in the professional streams distributed across seven pathways. Additionally, the number of candidates in international programs (French and English options) and the sports and study track stands at 12,199.
A total of 182 candidates with disabilities will benefit from adjusted exam conditions and grading, including the use of specialized tests tailored to their health needs. To ensure the smooth organization of these national exams, the academy has mobilized 23 members of the official printing and duplicating team, 13,695 supervisors, and 3,490 exam graders.
The academy allocated 5 exam centers inside correctional institutions for 92 candidates, alongside 14 centers designated for grading distributed across the regional directorates. The academy praised the efforts made by all members of the education and training community, along with support from families, local authorities, security forces, and the media, to ensure the execution of this national assessment under the best possible conditions.
