New Development Projects in Khénifra Province Include Road Upgrades and the Inauguration of a Health Center

On Tuesday, May 13, 2025, new development projects were launched in the municipalities of Lalla Mimouna and Souq Arba al-Gharb, within Khénifra Province. This initiative is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure and enhance essential services for citizens.

In Lalla Mimouna, work has commenced on upgrading rural pathways following a partnership agreement between the provincial council and the municipality, with a cost of approximately 6.9 million dirhams and a completion timeline of six months. The project covers the villages of Mwarid, Lourizate, Ouled Lousha, Ouled Nafkha, Ouled Jray, Bir Mtab, and Marija Maarif. The aim is to alleviate isolation in these areas and improve their connectivity to public services.

Additionally, another project has been launched to repair and enhance internal roads in Lalla Mimouna, funded jointly by the communal equipment fund and the local municipality, with costs approaching 6.8 million dirhams. This program targets improving the quality of infrastructure in several neighborhoods of the town, including Nzalate, Hammara, Hayet al-Dajij, Maqtat al-Jahal, Hayet, and the administrative district.

In Souq Arba al-Gharb, the urban health center of Ouled Ben Sebaa was inaugurated in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, at a cost of 3 million dirhams. Approximately 27,000 people will benefit from the services provided by this center, which has been equipped with essential medical staff and equipment to ensure quality healthcare delivery.

These projects are in line with the implementation of public policies at the local level, reinforcing local development and improving living standards for the population. They reflect the local authorities’ commitment to addressing the needs of residents, particularly in rural and semi-urban areas facing deficiencies in infrastructure and essential services.

Moreover, these initiatives are part of an integrated developmental vision aimed at reducing regional and social disparities and achieving territorial justice. This will be pursued by mobilizing local and regional partners to provide funding and monitor project implementation.

Immediate positive effects of these projects are expected, particularly in enhancing mobility conditions, facilitating access to healthcare services, and increasing the attractiveness of targeted areas for investment and residential stability.

During this event, several local stakeholders emphasized that these projects exemplify the government’s commitment to investing in human resources and ensuring dignified living conditions, highlighting the dynamic development trajectory observed in the province in recent years, thanks to the collaborative efforts of various actors.
