Europe strikes again at the junta regime: “We do not recognize the so-called Sahrawi Republic.”

Express TV: Mustafa Filali

The spokesperson for the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy reiterated today that “neither the European Union nor any of its member states recognize the so-called ‘Sahrawi Republic.'”

This statement was made in response to a question regarding the upcoming ministerial meeting between the European Union and the African Union, scheduled for next Wednesday in Brussels.

After noting that “the ministerial meetings between the European Union and the African Union are organized and co-chaired by both unions,” the EU spokesperson clarified that any potential attendance by this entity falls under the responsibility of the African Union, thus denying that the European Union has invited the so-called “Sahrawi Republic” to the ministerial meeting.

In this context, the spokesperson emphasized that “the EU’s position is well known: neither the Union nor any of its member states recognize the so-called ‘Sahrawi Republic,'” stressing that “any potential attendance by this entity at the ministerial meeting between the European Union and the African Union does not in any way affect this position.”
