Follow-Up

The High Commission for Planning reported a decrease of 0.2 percent in the producer price index for the manufacturing sector, excluding oil refining, in April 2025 compared to March.

In its news bulletin regarding the producer price index for industrial, energy, and mining sectors in April 2025, the Commission explained that this decline is mainly due to a 0.9 percent drop in prices in the food industry, a 0.2 percent decrease in chemical manufacturing, and a 0.1 percent reduction in the manufacturing of other non-metallic products. However, there was a 1 percent increase in clothing manufacturing, a 0.2 percent rise in electrical appliance production, and a 0.1 percent uptick in metal product manufacturing.

Regarding the producer price indices for the extractive industries and the production and distribution of electricity and water, these remained stable during April 2025.
