Hicham Boutan, the Secretary General of the Association of Poultry and White Meat Professionals in Kenitra, confirmed that the recent communication meeting marks the first step in a series of activities aimed at advocating for the organization of the white meat and poultry sector.
Boutan emphasized that local authorities, particularly the provincial governor Abd el Hamid Lazmid, attach great importance to this issue and closely monitor the efforts of professionals to restructure the sector in a way that ensures quality and protects consumer health.
He also praised the decision by the Kenitra municipality to include the establishment of a municipal poultry slaughterhouse on its agenda, considering this a significant step that will directly contribute to organizing slaughter and distribution processes, improving the quality of white meat available in the markets.
Boutan pointed out that the lack of appropriate infrastructure has been one of the main obstacles, and the launch of the collective slaughterhouse project in the Fouwarat area represents a concrete beginning for reform. He added that the association will continue working to mobilize professionals and unify their ranks through field activities and ongoing training.
Attendees at the meeting expressed their satisfaction with this institutional interaction, confirming their readiness to engage in organizational efforts and calling for the acceleration of the announced projects.
