Achraf Hakimi is on the final shortlist for the “Marc-Vivien Foé” award for 2025.

The Moroccan international, who plays as a right-back for Paris Saint-Germain, has made it to the final list of nominees for the “Marc-Vivien Foé” award, which is presented annually to the best African player in Ligue 1.

The Union of French Professional Football (UNFP) announced the three final candidates for the award in its 2025 edition, including Hakimi, alongside Ivorian Ivan Ghislain from Nice and Senegalese Habib Diarra from Strasbourg.

This new nomination for Hakimi comes after he previously made the final list last year, finishing in second place behind Gabon’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Hakimi is considered one of the prominent Moroccan names that have shone in Ligue 1, and he aims to join the ranks of Moroccan players who have won this award, including Marouane Chamakh in 2009, Younes Belhanda in 2012, and Sofiane Boufal in 2016.
